
Malaga is a city and also a municipality in Spain. It is located in the autonomous community of Andalusia, to the south of it. It is the second most populated city in Andalusia.
This city was populated by the Phoenicians in the 8th century making it one of the oldest cities in Europe. It was four times the capital of their kingdom and was incorporated into the Crown of Castile in 1487. It suffered a great activity at industrial level and meant that the city was the first industr
ial city of Spain.
It was a victim of the Spanish Civil War and the tourist boom of the 1960s and 1970s. Malaga is a cultural, economic and entertainment centre today. This city has more than 550,000 inhabitants.
